Disruptive Innovator DNA
This thought provoking talk will be given by Bo Ji, Founder of China Start, an inspiring TEDx speaker, a Chinaprenuer, and a game changer in the global startup ecosystem. Bo is currently the Assistant Dean & Chief Representative for Europe at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB), a top business school with more than 10,000 chairman/CEO level alumni in China. Bo had an over-20-year successful corporate career in Global Business Development, Innovation, Strategy, Supply Chain Management, M&A, etc and has served at the senior executive level for companies such as Monsanto, Cargill, Pfizer, Wrigley and Mars. After a long corporate life, Bo became a serial entrepreneur and investor and founded “China Start” to bring global startups and scaleups to China. He created a paradigm shift for global startups to expand to China instead of Silicon Valley. Is an innovator born or made? Is it possible to learn the ability of generating innovative ideas? The answer is YES! Our ability to generate innovative ideas is not just a function of our minds, but of our behaviors. There are five “discovery skills” used by innovative leaders that distinguish them from the ordinary: questioning, observation, networking, experimenting, and associational thinking. These skills can be learned and trained. Innovative companies have three components, people, process, and philosophy to support the application of the 5 DNA skills.
