Serious consequences
The less said about this interview the better, as far as Barry is concerned. His friend Chris gets off relatively lightly with a formal warning and a note against his student record. As he is dismissed from the room, he shoots Barry a look full of scorn and anger.
Then the Head of School turns to Barry and lets him know how worthless and stupid he has been, how he has let down the University, his fellow students - especially Chris - and abandoned his academic integrity. He concludes by inviting Barry to consider leaving his course voluntarily - or face a further disciplinary panel which will probably result in him being forced to leave. "You're a bright lad, you know, but you've wasted your time here - perhaps you should try University again you've grown up and gained some sense."
