Google and the patchwork essay

As he works, Barry realises that creating a convincing cut-and-paste essay is much harder than he'd thought. Not only does he have to write sentences that link the copied chunks convincingly, but he even has to rewrite some of the copied text so that it makes sense. Finally, just when he'd finished, he remembered that he must include some references. Oh no! In a few places he added references to the websites he'd copied text from, hoping that his tutor wouldn't follow them up, and then adds a couple more to relevant books from the library's online catalogue. Like Frankenstein's monster, the essay doesn't look very good - but he hands it in anyway, and hopes for the best.
