MATH2038 Notes, Lectures and handouts

The MATH2038 (Partial Differential Equations) course, as given in semester 2 2008/9. Syllabus has changed slightly from previous years, as has coursework weighting.

Advice for reuse

Key text is Boyce and DiPrima; however, material on Green's functions not in that book. Makes major assumptions about previous knowledge of ODEs (essentially that the students have taken the MATH1052 (?) or equivalent), so that nearly all of chapter 1 should be revision.
