The data were delineated on and digitized from 1:250,000 paper maps during 2001 and 2002. Paper maps were then produced at the MFWP Wildlife regional scale for reviewing the data.

These maps showed the existing antelope distribution coverage along with land cover from the MT GAP Analysis Land Cover dataset, hydrography, highways, roads, township boundaries, National Parks, Indian Reservations, MFWP Wildlife administrative regions, and cities. This data was used to aid the MFWP biologists to update the antelope distribution.
