The third year

Barry scrapes through his re-sits and starts his third year of studies. He really doesn't have a firm foundation of learning to build on, and although he is now trying hard there is just so much that he doesn't really understand.

It comes as a real surprise when he gains a Lower Second degree - he was expecting a Third. The only problem is that he hasn't applied for any jobs that use his degree - he feels sure that his ignorance would be found out and can't face the idea of having to bluff his way any longer. Three years and all he has to show for it is a piece of paper and a sizable debt. Maybe he should apply for that Assistant Manager job at the supermarket...
