Making sure that before you start you have made adequate preparations.
Know what and whom you are going to be teaching including what they already know.
Think about the bigger picture in relation to the context of the session you are delivering.
Ensure that the delivery is in chunks that can be ‘digested’ by the learner(s).
Let the learner practice and provide regular feedback.
Think about what drives people to learn, are you meeting these drivers?
What will the learner gain from the session, what can you offer to make the session attractive for the learner.
Remember to give ongoing encouragement throughout the session.
Finally, don’t forget to reward a good job done.
